Composing Center:encourage interest and excellence in scholarly writing by all students that are undergraduate

The All-College Writing Contest is made to encourage interest and quality in scholarly writing by all undergraduate pupils enrolled at the school. The competition is sponsored because of the Center that is writing and by faculty users from many different procedures.

Pupils whoever documents winnings honors into the All-College Writing Contest make educational distinction respected at the Honors that is appropriate Convocation. Winning essays are posted in Lake Forest’s on the web book, Lake Forest Papers, and a cash is received by the winner reward.

All-College Contest that is writing Rules

1. All Lake Forest College undergraduate students may engage.

2. Expository writing (no fiction or poetry) from any Lake Forest university program.

3. Just one entry per pupil may be submitted.

4. Entries should really be submitted electronically.

5. No senior thesis can be awarded the All-College writing reward.

6. Papers are judged on quality of prose, usage of proof, and quality of argument.

7. Lake Forest university faculty people judge all documents utilizing a blind review procedure.

8. Please follow these tips:

a. Title web web page will include the title that is paper’s your name (your name should appear just in the name web web page), plus the program and teacher for who the paper ended up being written.
